I swear my name isn’t totally made up - it's a legit name in Punjabi (that's it up there). But it doesn't really translate into English and I might be the only person in the world with this spelling...
The blame for this rests solely with my mother. As the story goes, she couldn't figure out what vowel to put between the M and the N, so she decided to forgo one entirely. Cue my lifelong discomfort with the first day of class, substitute teachers, roll calls and autocorrect.
